Matt Hawkins
Senior Pastor
Pastor Matt is a graduate of Auburn University and former Auburn Football kicker. He attended seminary through Lakeview Baptist Church’s cohort with Southern Seminary. He met his wife Monica while at Auburn and they married in 1996. She is also a graduate of Auburn University and now teaches English and ACT at Beauregard High School.
They have four sons. Matthew is 24 and a graduate of The University of Memphis. He resides in Phenix City and travels around pursuing his acting career. Caleb is 22 and is also a graduate of The University of Memphis. Caleb works in Auburn and will be getting married to Katie Johnson in June 2024. The Hawkins are excited to add their first daughter to the family! Joshua is 20 and currently works in the Crawford area and shares a house with his brother Caleb. Jacob is a junior at Beauregard High School and loves soccer.
Pastor Matt loves the local church and has a heart for seeing people passionately follow Jesus and make disciples. Matt also enjoys sports with pickle ball being his favorite pastime. He loves cooking on his blackstone and having family game nights with his wife and kids.

Sydney Reynolds

Sydney is a recent graduate of Liberty University with her B.S. in Religion: Christian Leadership, a minor in Global Studies, and a minor in Parenting & Child/Adolescent Development. She met her husband, Chad, while living and working in Auburn and they married in December of 2020. Chad has a B.S. in Biology from Columbus State University and is currently in his final semester of Nursing School at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
Bing & Bert Howard

Bert, Volunteer Equipping Pastor
The Howards believe in the “ministry of presence” and sharing the Gospel of Christ with anyone crossing their path. They have been involved in various ministries since 1996.
Bing serves as the Church Administrative Assistant. She holds a BGS in Human Services, Psychology, & Gerontology from Fort Hays State University and an AAS in Social Work & Substance Abuse Counseling from Eastfield College. Before marrying Bert, Bing was a professional singer with her family band in the Philippines.
Bert (a retired US Naval Aviator, graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, and ordained minister) volunteers as CBC’s Equipping Pastor.
Bing and Bert have been married since 1989 and have three grown sons: Brian (married to Kate), Albert, and Elijah. In their free time, Bing and Bert, enjoy walking with their three beautiful Australian Shepherds (Huckleberry, Blue Boy, and the Lady Belle), listening to Christian music, studying the Bible, and making memories with family and friends.
